|
Working with Arkin Tilt Architects, Peak provided the structural design and construction phase support services for this uniquely designed home. This project used alternative building products such as insulated concrete forms (ICF), straw bale walls, salvaged wood for rough and finish carpentry, 10" built up SIP's roofing, and railroad rails for the terrace trellis. Special design consideration for all of the unique building components as well as additional load calculations to accommodate solar panels, consideration for roof top rainwater collection system, and design for limited site disruption during excavation was taken into account while performing the structural design. |
